Ancient Art For Health and Well Being

In the Far East it has been known for centuries that ill health is rooted in tension and imbalance. Stress and the resulting tension can rob us of our optimum health. As we know, tension develops due to a variety of stress factors. Some of these are; physical injury, emotional strain, mental fatigue, lack of sleep, environmental toxins and diet. Typically tension has been part of our lives for so long that we may not even notice its presence, but we frequently feel its effects. Left unreleased, tension causes imbalance in our body’s systems that can contribute to fatigue and discomfort. As the tension and imbalance deepens in the body, it can become illness and degenerative disease.

  • What is Jin Shin Jyutsu?

Jin Shin Jyutsu (jit soo) is an ancient Asian healing art that releases the deep tension and imbalance in the body. Once this is released, your body can heal itself more easily and completely. This results in more vibrant health, better rest, less pain, faster healing, and greater resistance to illness and degeneration.

    How Does It Work?

Einstein taught us that all matter is energy. Our bodies are literally dense energy.  In the far east they have known for centuries that this energy moves in very specific pathways or flows throughout the body.  Whenever there is trauma on any level – mentally, physically or emotionally- those energy flows will lock up (similar to a circuit breaker) to keep us from overload. The problems arise when these points stay locked up. When this happens the body has to find less efficient ways to move the energy throughout our systems, impairing our body’s own self-healing ability.  Jin Shin Jyutsu dissolves these blockages and re-establishes the proper flow of energy, thus restoring our body’s natural self-healing capacity.

    Powerful Energy – Gentle Touch

Jin Shin Jyutsu is similar to acupuncture but without the discomfort of needles. The practitioner manually adjusts points on the body in specific sequences. These points, called “safety energy locks” are locations on the body where energy of “chi” tends to lock up and cause tension and imbalance. By adjusting these key safety energy locks properly, an amazing thing happens. Vitality and health start to be restored. And it works on all levels – physically, mentally, and emotionally.

    Practitioner and Teacher

Jane Pritchard has a 35 year background in holistic healing arts and has been a Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner and teacher since 1988. Having taught self-help classes internationally as well as on radio and TV, Jane is committed to empowering others in their quest for optimal health.

Jane creates a serene healing space for her clients’ relaxation and rejuvenation. She’s an good listener, intuitive healer, skilled practitioner and excellent teacher! If you haven’t experienced Jin Shin Jyutsu, give it a try. The most powerful realization I’ve learned through receiving JSJ sessions and learning some self-help techniques is that pain and discomfort come as a result of “stuck / blocked energy” along the JSJ flows or in our attitudes. One doesn’t have to “suffer or put up with it.”

Bart is a medium large 14+ year old dog and is suffering from both arthritis, neurological/spinal and heart problems. He so looks forward to his weekly Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions with Jane. After a few sessions, he walks in and lies right down for his relaxation. And you can see him relax and perk up right before your eyes! By the time our session is over, Bart is walking better and looks refreshed. Bart is on several medications but nothing seems to help as much as the Jin Shin. Before his treatment, he has a difficult time with steps and I must almost carry him. After, he is walking up and down a few steps by himself. We love Jane!

I had a mini session with Jane several weeks ago after which I was more deeply relaxed than when I get a massage. There was, however, another benefit which I’ve recently discovered. Usually I don’t sit cross-legged because it hurts my knees. One day I decided to give it a try. To my amazement I sat for 10 or 15 minutes and had no knee pain whatever! Now, that’s a real benefit!
